    Gaahhhhh!

My internet’s so slow at night! Every night!

    Gaahhhh!

    This is so annoying.

I was going to change my header picture, but then I couldn’t get rid of the text on there. And this is so annoying. My internet’s slower than the world’s slowest turtle!

Another week starts…tomorrow. I should probably go to bed. Haven’t been getting a lot of sleep lately…

    Yeah.

Tomorrow we start aquatic stuff in gym. I wish we don’t have that. It’ll be so much trouble…

The last time I had swimming in gym was in gr 9. And I only swam for one day.

*sigh* I wish I was in gr 9 or 10 again. Life was so nice way back when…

    Here’s a nice quote:

Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday.
    - Don Marquis

Anyhow, leaving everything till the last three weeks is definitely not a good idea. Gah. So stressed.

All Hallow’s Eve is coming up. When was the last time I went trick-or-treating? Gr 8?

Hmm…I was never a big fan of it though. Too much hassle just for some really cheap candy…-.-…

Today’s quite nice. A little windy and chilly, but sunny. It makes you feel happy.

    *huge grin*

The new autumn season of anime is okay. Nothing too exciting.  Minami-ke is cute and random. It’s about the three Minami sisters who lives together in an apartment. Shion no Ou’s character design and animation is a little lacking, the manga’s better. But looks like the story may trump everything. So far it’s pretty interesting with a stalker, a murder, a blouse-ripping incident that I’m still confused about, and shogi (Japanese chess). If only they can be a little bit more careful on the character design…

And going back to the quote, I just added a few more. So take a look. The last one’s neat. Kind of describes the whole purpose of my page…-.-

    Minami-ke:
    Kana, Haruka, Chiaki

    Shion no Ou:
    Saori, Shion, Ayumi

Sheez, I just got spammed by some cooking-recipe site.

    *sigh*

My teeth are so sore. The last time I went to my orthodontist, I had to live on 稀饭 (rice porridge?) for the next two days or so…-.-

    I don’t even like 稀饭…

We are already two weeks in to archery in gym. It’s fun. Even if it’s so windy and freezing. My right index and middle fingers are so sore from pulling the bow and all, but it was worth it. ^___^ One more week left…T.T and we move onto aquatics stuff, which I think I’ll dread…

[edit] We just take take our bow and arrows and shoot at one of the targets. If I’m lucky, I might be able to get 4-5 arrows out of 6 to hit the target. I don’t think I ever got all six…but I’m trying…-.-…and we decided that it’s impossible to split an arrow…(not that this has anything to do with anything)

And yeah, the stock photos are nice…but I’m kind of too lazy right now…—-___—-

And thanks for the 稀饭 info, Misaki. Porridge sounds nicer though, it sounds like some edible sticky substance…congee is like this super stretchy cord you use to jump off a cliff or something….

[edit again] Bungee, congee….they sound alike…>.>…..meh.

I would like to point out one particular post on one anime blog here.

    http://that.animeblogger.net/2007/10/10/gundam-00-tell-me-this-political-satire/

I usually don’t read anime blogs, except when I want to know what happen next or what someone thinks of a particular series. I don’t do episode by episode kind of thing. But, THAT Animeblog’s comment on the newest Gundam series, Gundam 00, is, well, brilliant.

Go read it. Even if you don’t know what Gundam is about (futuristic setting with those big transformer-looking mobile suits).

The post was definitely an eye-opener.

I was even considering actually watching the series just so that I can understand the follow up posts (post of each episode) better. Though, it’s weird how he continues with Gundam OO even though he hates the Gundam franchise so much. But seeing how I’m suppose to work on my college apps…yeah. I’ll save it till maybe the summer or something, when I have nothing to do, then maybe I’ll watch it for the bishies in there. The character design is so pleasant. That’s one of the reasons why I watched Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny…

My parents are watching some weird Chinese drama. I’m really disppointed with all the Chinese drama…so politically correct, every one of them. The ones are kind of aren’t (ie. 走向共和) are banned. I wonder how much longer they can keep up with all the censoring…

Probably quite long…since we have a long history with censorship (burning books, propaganda, and such), lots of experiences to learn from.

Whatever. It’s just that some times I miss seeing real people on the screen…-.-…I wish a good 武侠 would come out soon, like 天龙,or 射雕,or 笑傲, I remembered them to be really enjoyable. But then, I might just have low standards back then. I should probably rewatch them…But still, the new 神雕 and 碧血剑 (both by 张纪中, I think, who also did 天龙) are so disappointing. I couldn’t even get through the first episode. Too…做作.

BTW, Gundam OO has horrible character names.

This is probably the most meaningless, ridiculous thing to ever happen in a school board.

Yesterday, we were informed 15 minutes before end of the day that a new law was just passed.

    Guess what this law does?

School are now required to provide 15 seconds of silence to students each day for no specific reason! for no reason AT ALL!

So we observed our first moment of silence yesterday, while some kid was shouting in the hallway.

I’m usually not against the rules and laws because I understand the need. But 15 seconds of silence for no reason at all? I don’t particularly mind the 15 seconds, so long as we have a purpose. Someone said that it’s for prayers, but what can you pray in 15 seconds? And do those people have any idea how much time we are wasting?

    15sec/day * 30 days/month * 9month/year = 4050 sec/year = 4050sec/year *1 hour/3600sec = 1.125 h/year

Okay, 1 hour per year isn’t too big of a deal. But look at it this way. It means 2-3 episodes of anime! Watching anime is so much more meaningful than 15 sec of doing nothing.

And for the freshmen, they’ll have to observe 1.125 h * 4 = 4.5 hour worth of pointless silence time during their entire high school career. That’s like, 10 episodes of anime! And for some of them that stay an extra year, that would be 1.125 h * 5 = 5.625 hours. You can even finish Pretear or Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei during that extremely meaningful silence time.

    Arrgh.

Okay, I’m done with my complaints. Now, I’ll go and love our extremely meaningful silence time with my whole heart. really.

BTW, the freshmen look so young and innocent! O.m.g. I can’t believe I used to look like that…

    aRRgh.

[edit] Shoot. Right. I forgot that we don’t go to school 30days/month. That would be what they do in China. But you can at least still squeeze in one episode of anime per year. And for four years, that’s like four episodes! Or one to two movies! That is still a better way to spend your time…
