2008 Spring Season’s anime look to be really promising! Here’s what stood out,

Kure-nai
Features the best dialogue with a cast of interesting characters and engaging story. The art style and animations are both very pleasing as well.

Soul Eater
Shonen, but it has style. The moon and the sun are…peculiar, at the very least (not to mention the other structures). And not to mention its three main male characters’s “outstanding” traits.

Kyouran Kazoku Nikki (Frenzied Family Journal)
Let’s see…in the family, there’s a normal father who can do mental math and point a gun at one of his child, and a catgirl mother who makes her children lick her shoes. The children include a loli, a lion, a jelly fish, a biological weapon, and a possible homosexual. Not to mention all of them names end in -ka….(ie. Hyouka, Ouka, etc). This is all from the first episodes. So yeah, it’s a crazy family. It’ll left you completely drained of energy after watching it.

Library Wars
Military setting with a classic love-hate relationship between the two main characters.

Allison to Lillia
One of the normalest anime in this season. Still fun to watch.

Junjou Romantica
It wouldn’t have stood out to me if it wasn’t BL. The characters wasted no time to…do their BL stuff… (maybe it’ll turn out to be a good romance story…)

Amatsuki
Fushigi Yuugi-esque plot – modern characters transferred to a historical setting (Edo Japan). But it is different.

Vampire Knight
Full of bishies. Yuuki is getting on my nerves, being simply a classic “damsel in distress”. Opening and Ending have pretty good songs.

Pain relievers are a marvel. They are the best invention that man has ever…invented.

But isn’t it  a little too early for my wisdom teeth to sprout? Hmm…But man, was that painful.

Secondly, I would like to bring your attention of a particular episode of the Tower of Druaga. One of the new anime of the 2008 Spring season.

The Tower of Druaga is an RPG adaption. From the second episode, looks like it’s going to be a normal RPG adaptation; which means it probably will be boring. However, the first episode is something totally different. It’s a cute little parody with cute little punchlines. So check it out. It’s really funny (even for someone who never played RPG before).

In addition, Gonzo is releasing their own subbed episodes of Druaga on the same day it airs on Youtube, Crunchyrolls, and BOST. That, is pretty cool. (and the subs aren’t bad too)

On a side note, I think I ate too much during dinner today. Let’s see, I had a boxed lunch thing, a quarter of a 馒头, and a bowl of really diluted 玉米糊糊.

Yeah, that’s too much. But hey, at least I can eat. It was so painful during lunch. *sigh* If only pain relievers would last forever…

School off next Fri. So another four-day weekend.

I slept at 11:30-12:00 for the past few days. So tired. My eyes are so dry.

I wish I didn’t take the Writing Seminar. This 20-30 page paper is way too much for me. Especially now that it’s near impossible to make myself do any extra work.

Senoritis is really kicking in.

I can’t wait ’til summer.

I wonder if the colleges will accept a B for Writing Seminar…hmmm….but I shouldn’t…I shouldn’t be thinking like this.

Oh well.

Tomorrow, we are going to the regionals for some kind of math competition thing. I forgot the name. I wonder if we’ll be beaten to a pulp by IMSA again.

I was just arguing with my parents about college. They want me to finish undergrad in three years. I say it’s impossible. I don’t want to work that hard … but that’s still far into the future.

Hope it get warmer soon. So damn cold.

Shigofumi, true tears

Both fun animes to check out. Shigofumi’s more episodic in nature. True Tears is a school drama. Though I thought I was sick of school dramas already. But True Tears…well, it’s too good to be missed, I suppose.

[edit] So far I don’t have any plans for the summer yet. And I just updated the desktop, quotes, anime, and about page. I changed the singer section on “About” to the songs that I wouldn’t mind listening to now. Since I never really liked a particular singer/group, listing the songs that I like is more fitting. I’ll try to get some of those songs onto my radio.blog. I’ve been seriously neglecting it….-.-

It’s so cold outside! -20 degree C! But sunny though…

My finals are over. I’m now officially in my last semester of high school.

It’s so nice to have a four day weekend after the final…u.u

I just found out recently that we don’t have school on the Friday just before the spring break. So it’ll be a 10-day break. How nice.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Japanese songs lately…

Which reminds me. I watched quite a few j-drama lately. Let’s see now,
